WHO ARE WE?
Beautifully Unique Inc. is more than just a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Wyandanch, NY—it's a movement dedicated to uplifting and empowering those who need it most! Founded with a vision to transform lives, we initially focused on the youth, understanding their crucial role as the heartbeat of our future. Today, our mission has expanded to support anyone in need, especially in neighborhoods that have been forgotten and overlooked. We’re deeply passionate about our youth, recognizing they need us now more than ever. We believe in the power of community and the strength of collective support. We come from an era when “it took a village to raise a child,” but too often today, we’ve turned inward, ignoring the struggles of others. We refuse to sit idly by while our children and communities suffer. It’s time to act, to speak out, and to make a real difference.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Beautifully Unique Inc. is back with renewed energy and determination to drive community transformation! After a brief hiatus, we are more committed than ever to our mission. We don’t just talk about making a difference—we actively shape it.
Since our inception, we have been dedicated to meeting community needs in impactful ways. From mentoring youth to organizing and sponsoring transformative events, we collaborate with other organizations to create uplifting experiences. Our impressive track record includes book bag giveaways, Thanksgiving baskets for families in need, Blessing Bags for the Homeless, and Christmas toy distributions in partnership with Toys for Tots. We’ve also led coat drives and Women Empowerment events and proudly sponsored Youth Explosions and crucial gatherings like National Night Out and Voter Registration Drives. Our support also extends to backing numerous community initiatives led by Assemblywoman Jean-Pierre, including her eagerly anticipated Annual TRUNK OR TREAT inititive.
Our hiatus allowed us time for reflection and renewal, but now we’re back with a stronger focus and unwavering commitment to making a real impact. We invite you to join us in this exciting new chapter. Your support can amplify our efforts and help us continue to uplift and empower communities in transformative ways.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is clear and profound: nurture, uplift, and inspire others to dream beyond their current circumstances. We aim to ignite self-love, celebrate uniqueness, and help people embrace what makes them special. In a world where young people face issues like bullying, low self-esteem, suicide, domestic violence, and substance abuse, Beautifully Unique Inc. stands as a beacon of hope. Despite operating without funding, grants, or substantial support since 2015, we’ve still managed to leave a significant mark. Imagine the impact we could make with your help!

Our journey is just beginning! We’re actively seeking grants and funding to expand our reach in Wyandanch and beyond. We know there’s more work to be done, and we’re ready to tackle it. Our vision is ambitious, but our hearts are even bigger.
In 2019, we established a scholarship in honor of our Founder and CEO’s mother, Myrtle C. Stewart-Alston, who dedicated 32 years to supporting youth in the Wyandanch School District. Her legacy of service lives on through this scholarship, and we’re honored to continue her work.

In March 2015, we were honored with the Phoenix Award from the Town of Babylon, a testament to our commitment and hard work. Our Founder and CEO was also awarded the Woman of Distinction Award at Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre’s Women of Distinction Awards in March 2017 and received the Martin Luther King Jr. Award from the Holy Trinity Baptist Church’s Scholarship Ministry in January 2020. We are dedicated to making a difference every single day.
